Lark, Owl or Hummingbird?
By now the concept of being a morning person or a night person is pretty common knowledge, but did you know it has an impact on your productivity?
If you didn't, here's a bit of advice science has shown to be true: focus your efforts for the times you are most awake.
The concept that the early bird catches the worm and that getting up earlier is more effective for getting things done is only true if you are a lark, or a morning person — which many people are.
However, if you're a night owl, you will simply be more awake, alert, and productive in the evening and no amount of getting up early or being tough and slogging through the morning cobwebs is going to make it a better time for you to get things done.
While the majority of people fall into the category of hummingbird — which are adaptive and can function as either morning or night people — if you want to be the most effective when working with your own hobby, focus your efforts on the time of day you find yourself with the most energy and the most motivation and you will maximize your results, it's as simple as that.
