The Complete Book of American Muscle Supercars
As an advertising account manager for Pontiac, Jim Wangers was the person responsible for promoting the original Pontiac GTO: the first car to be called a Muscle Car. He even owns one of his very own, the 1969 Pontiac Royal Bobcat GTO Judge pictured above. As explained in the review, Royal Pontiac was the dealership responsible for prepping the car used for the Car and Driver cover story that fueled sales of the original '64 model and inadvertently touched off the Muscle Car era and a war that has raged ever since.
