Long time, no see...er, write?

Anyway, it's been a while – some three months if you're counting.

Contrary to the non-existent rumors I didn't die – nor was I on a nice long vacation somewhere pleasant...

Four months ago I embarked on an update to the site structure, about a month into it, I realized there was no way in the blue blazes of hell I was going to be able to both make content updates and complete the structure updates in a reasonable time frame if I worked on them simultaneously.

There are only so many hours in a day and so much energy I have to devote to Classics and Performance. So, I stopped making posts, thinking, "this probably won't take very long if I just give it everything I've got."

As the days – then weeks – went by, I began to realize the error of my ways. By then, I was so far in the weeds and had rearranged so much of the site that making a post would have created such a disruption to all the work I'd done that I found myself without the ability to get word out that I was hip deep in website shit with no waders on and didn't have any flippin' clue when I'd get out again.

Let's just say I had to go in deeper and leave it at that.

Now that it's done, I hope you won't notice a thing.

Ideally, this update was accomplished so that as I move forward, the site works better for everyone – especially as I make the journey towards the return of the projects.

Not to be abrupt, but I just finished the structure update before writing this post and I'm exhausted, so that's all for this week.

Next week I'll get back into the swing of things and come up with something more interesting to say.

Until then, keep'er between the lines.
